CarPlay / Android Auto Interface for Porsche PCM 3.1
Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto and A/V interface for Porsche PCM 3.1 — and the first solution that needs no external module, because the whole installation sits inside the radio. Alongside CarPlay and Android Auto, the kit adds front and rear camera inputs with dynamic parking guidelines. You can run the most popular smartphone apps — iMessage, Spotify, Waze, WhatsApp and Google Maps — on the factory display.
Vehicle system: Porsche PCM 3.1
PCM 3.1 covers 2010-2016 Cayenne, Panamera, Macan, 911, Cayman and Boxster. It is the last of the PCM generation before the wide-screen 4.0 unit, and it is the one most often kept for originality. The kit adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto without changing the PCM face or the cluster.
PCM and CDR units in these cars use a 7-inch LVDS display with the radio built in. We decode CAN at the head unit and loop the video through, so the PCM menu, the cluster and the steering-wheel roller all behave as before.
