Vehicle system: Volkswagen MIB / MQB platform
MQB is the platform behind Tiguan, Teramont, Phideon, Golf GTI, Golf 7, Polo, Passat B8 and Magotan B8 - a very large installed base in one kit. The CD player sits in the glovebox on these cars, which tells you the radio is a separate unit and fixes where the interface taps in.
Volkswagen head units vary by platform. We identify the radio first - RNS, MIB or MQB - then take CAN and video at the correct point, which is why the factory menus and the multifunction display stay intact.
