Touareg 7P with RNS850 runs from mid-2010 to mid-2018 with an 8-inch display. One detail decides the harness on this car: the factory controller is either black or silver, and the two use different cables. It is a small thing that stops a fitting dead, so we ask before shipping.
Volkswagen head units vary by platform. We identify the radio first - RNS, MIB or MQB - then take CAN and video at the correct point, which is why the factory menus and the multifunction display stay intact.
