CarPlay / Android Auto Interface for Mercedes-Benz NTG 3
Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, Camera and A/V interface compatible with select Mercedes-Benz vehicles equipped with the NTG3 system. Fully integrated with the OEM controls, and it also uses the factory microphone and Bluetooth. Vehicle system: Mercedes NTG3.0 (W221 S-Class)
NTG3.0 is the 2008-2010 W221 S-Class system, with an 8-inch screen on a square LVDS link and the radio as a separate unit. These are the cars where a working, original-looking interior matters most, so nothing about the COMAND menu or the cluster is disturbed. The kit adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto as a source the driver switches to.
The W221 S-Class uses a separate head unit with a square LVDS link to the screen. We take CAN at the radio connector and loop the video through the interface, which is why COMAND and the instrument cluster keep working as one system.
