CarPlay / Android Auto Interface for Audi A6 / A7 MIB2
Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, Camera and A/V interface compatible with select Audi A6 and A7 vehicles equipped with the MIB system, 7" monitor w/ 4 pins LVDS connector.
Vehicle system: Audi MIB2 (A6L / A7, stretchable screen)
A6L and A7 from 2016-2018 use an 8-inch stretchable display on MIB2. The stretchable mount is the reason this is a separate part number: the display lead and the clearance behind the panel are different from the fixed-screen cars. Get that wrong and the screen will not sit flush.
MIB and MIB2 units put the radio in the glovebox with a separate display. We transfer LVDS and power from the back of the radio and decode CAN there, which is why the MMI interface and DIS keep their original functions.

How it connects: CAN at the air-conditioning panel; LVDS and power from the back of the radio. Nothing is flashed, nothing is coded, and the factory menu is never overwritten - CarPlay and Android Auto simply become an additional source the driver selects.
