CarPlay / Android Auto Interface for BMW & MINI NBT
Wireless CarPlay/Android Auto, Camera and A/V interface compatible with select BMW, MiniCooper and Rolls-Royce equipped with the NBT infotainment system.

NBT covers the 2012-2016 core of the BMW range - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 Series, X1 to X6, plus MINI and Rolls-Royce cars on the same platform. It is the single most requested interface we ship, because the hardware is good and the software is simply locked. 2016 is a crossover year: some cars left the factory with NBT, others with NBT EVO, and the two kits are not interchangeable.
BMW head units are addressed over the factory CAN bus and the video path is tapped at the LVDS link that feeds the screen, so the car keeps its own menu structure and we simply add a second source the driver can switch to.
What stays exactly as it is

How it connects: CAN at the NBT head unit; LVDS loop-through. Nothing is flashed, nothing is coded, and the factory menu is never overwritten - CarPlay and Android Auto simply become an additional source the driver selects.
